COVID-19: If I Don’t Laugh I Will Cry

I don’t know who made this meme but thank you. It makes me laugh.
Laugh at Big Bird in a horse drawn carriage

Healthcare humor is often dark, especially among those in first responder and emergency settings.

It’s how we cope with what we have seen.

How we protect our hearts.

And find the courage to go back and do it again next shift.

It’s how we stay human.

Anne Frank wrote  “I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.”  but not gonna lie, I am struggling a bit right now.

Laughing helps a ton and the memes are great.

So are funny animal videos.

Monty Python, (of course).

Working out (my gym coach posts workouts daily) and being outside in the fresh air (and snow) and coming home to paint or knit or practice music.

All good.

Find a reason to laugh.

‘Cuz tomorrow is another day and Big Bird said it best: We ride at dawn…
